Mass on Ash Wednesday will be celebrated at 7 pm on February 14th.
Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 6:30 pm on the Fridays of Lent. Participate in Lenten Fridays by attending the 5:30 pm Mass, taking some time for personal prayer and reflection from 6-6:30 pm and then praying the Stations. Sign up to be a cross or candle bearer for Stations at the main doors of the church.
Operation Rice Bowl will benefit Catholic Relief Services, the official international Catholic relief and development agency of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Containers along with information, recipes and more may be found at the main doors of the church. Drop in spare change daily, drop in money saved from things you gave up for Lent, eat a simple meal and put money saved in the container. These Lenten alms for the poor will collected Easter weekend.
Lenten regulations on fasting and abstinence – Fasting is obligatory for those between the ages of 18 and 59 years of age, allowing a person to eat one full meal and two smaller meals not equal to the one full meal with no in-between meal snacks. Abstinence means not eating meat and meat products and is obligatory at age 14. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence; all Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence.
