March 23, 1923 marked the humble beginnings of the parish we call home. Happy anniversary to all parishioners of this wonderful parish. We give thanks to all who went before us and sacrificed so much so that we could enjoy what we have. May our Blessed Mother continue to intercede for us. May God bless all of our efforts and they always honor God – Father , Son and Holy Spirit.
Adventures in home improvement
This week saw the failure of the flat roof over the former convent causing water to run into the 3rd floor and ceiling tiles to crumble in several areas on that floor and the landing area. After inspection, we’ve been told that the asphalt on that roof is just old and, after all the freezing and thawing over the years, it has degraded; the entire roof will need to be replaced. We are in communication with the diocese and are taking bids.
World Marriage Day Blessing
We have recorded Fr. Mike giving the blessing over couples united in Christian marriage so that those of you not yet coming to Mass can participate. Hold hands – be blessed and give one another a kiss! In December, we recorded the Bambinelli blessing at the 11:00 Mass. This blessings was recorded at the 5:30 Mass so check out the greetings from a different group of fellow parishioners.
