On Tuesday, May 21st, the diocese honored priests observing their 60th, 50th, 40th and 25th anniversaries of ordination with Mass and luncheon at St. Basil the Great Parish in Brecksville. Fr. Mike is celebrating his 50th anniversary and the staff was there to support and celebrate with him. The Mass was beautiful and we were thrilled to have all four Bishops in attendance: Bishop Edward Malesic, Auxiliary Bishop Michael Woost, retired Bishop Roger Gries, OSB and Bishop Emeritus (Diocese of Davenport, Iowa) Martin Amos. Bishop Amos grew up in the Cleveland area and was an auxiliary Bishop in Cleveland before his appoint to Davenport.

Prayer for Civility
In this divisive election year, this prayer from the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops is offered:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where uncivil words prevail, show me how to model love. Help me remember the God-given dignity of all and invite others to do the same. Show me how to build bridges and not walls and see first what unites us rather than how we diverge. Let me seek to understand before asking to be understood. Give me a listening heart filled with empathy and compassion. May I be clear in sharing my own position and respectful and civil in describing those of others. Let me never tolerate hateful ideas. May I invite all to charity and love. Lord, help me to imitate your compassion and mercy. Make me and instrument of your peace. Amen
My Daily Prayers
“My Daily Prayers” is a FREE daily recording of prayers led by the bishops and priests of the Cleveland diocese and delivered each day directly to you via your email or through diocesan social media platforms. Each lasts about 7 minutes and allows you to reflect, pray and enter into a deeper, personal relationship with God. Sign up at: dioceseofcleveland.org/mydailyprayers
#weGIVECATHOLIC 2023 – THANK YOU!!!
To all parishioners and friends of the parish who made donations to our We Give Catholic project on Tuesday, November 28th, thank you. Because of your generosity, we raised $2525.00 towards making our dream of cleaning up and beautifying the area between the school and Waldeisen Hall a reality. If you missed the online campaign, but would like to help, you may write a check to Immaculate Conception with WeGiveCatholic on the memo line and mail it in or drop it off at the rectory. We are truly grateful.
Community Meal – January 2025
Our next take-out meal will not be available until Tuesday, January 28th beginning at 4:30 pm in front of Waldeisen Hall. Menu: TBD. There will be NO meal in November because you are invited to the KMA Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 26th at Goss Memorial Church – sit down or drive thru using 11th St next to the Community Center. The team takes a break between Christmas and New Year’s so there will be NO meal in December.
